The Days Before and The Day Of

The Passover was on Tuesday and I apologize that I didn't write about this then. That night was the night that one of Jesus's disciples betrayed Him and sold Him to the priest or people that wanted to kill Him. Before this in Matthew 26:26-29, Jesus and His disciples were eating bread and drinking wine. Jesus told them that the bread represents His body and the blood represents His blood. This is why we take bread and grape juice at communion. We remember this time and what Jesus did for us, so we could have a personal relationship with The Lord now.

Today is Good Firday. Good Friday is where we remember how Jesus was beat and crucified. It is not a glorious day but we remember it to be greatful and to remember what Jesus went through for us.
People didn't want to believe Jesus was the son of God. They actually accused Him with that logic, that He made it up. They made the choice of setting a real criminal free instead of Jesus. (Matthew 27:15-23)
Jesus was crucified and when Jesus finally let out His last breath, God ripped the temple curtain from top to bottom, so that the people would know that it was God who did it. (Mathew 27:50)
Then they took Jesus down and placed Him in a tomb.

Now three days later, something miraculous happens! When Mary Magdalene and some other women went to the tomb the stone was rolled away and no body was found. (Mathew 28:1-6) The angel told them to go and share the news that their Lord Jesus had Risen!

That I would say is a good ending. Jesus conquered death! Now He is waiting for you and me to accept His gift and praise Him.

This is a wondrous story told in its whole form and is one that should be remembered and be thankful for always.

On Easter Sunday, maybe you will have a chance to share this story with someone who doesn't know it or hasn't heard it lately. Don't forget to share the part that our God is not dead!  For He conquerd death! I also greatly recommend the movie God is not Dead. I have heard it is very, worth watching and even though I have not seen it yet, I hope to soon.

Thank you so reading and I hope you have a very good Easter celebrating what Jesus did for you and me.
